My Hero

Jesus is my father, and as a father, He loves me.  However, Jesus does not love only me, He loves all of His children.  Jesus even created everything and everyone!  And of course, since He created us, He will always take care of us.  Jesus is love.

Jesus is not only loving; He is also selfless.  He came down to earth as a baby, only to save us when we did not deserve it.  Jesus is my hero because he saved me from my sins by dying on the cross for us.  We don’t even deserve the privilege of breathing every day, much less being cleansed of our sins through his painful death.

However, Jesus is also trustworthy.  He said He would raise from the dead in three days and he did!  Through His whole life on earth, He never sinned and He never will.  When you make a promise to someone, do you always keep it? No, nobody always does.  Well, Jesus’ promises are different.  He will never break His promises.  This is because of His unconditional love for us.

Everything Jesus does comes back as love for us. Jesus is my savior, and my hero. Anyone can accept Jesus as their hero, and you have the choice, do you want Jesus to be your hero too?
